Biography

Juan M. Gonzalez is a Research Associate in the Department of Plant Biology at Rutgers University. His research integrates artificial intelligence, quantitative genetics, bioinformatics, and high-throughput phenotyping to accelerate plant breeding and agricultural research. He develops computational methods for analyzing genomic, phenomic, and environmental data, with an emphasis on predictive modeling and decision support in complex biological systems. Dr. Gonzalez received his Ph.D. in Plant Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida, where his research focused on plant genomics, breeding, and computational biology.
