The Rutgers Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (RAD) Collaboratory

Biography

Jackie Yang, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics at Rutgers University and the Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey. Her lab focuses on computational and systems biology approaches to understand cellular heterogeneity, gene regulation, and disease mechanisms across cancer, and neurodegeneration.

Dr. Yang’s research integrates single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, epigenomics, CRISPR screening, and computational modeling to study how complex tissue microenvironments influence disease progression and therapeutic response. She is also actively involved in mentoring students through interdisciplinary research programs that connect biology, genomics, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
