Biography

Dr. Blitz is an implementation scientist whose work bridges research, practice, and policy to improve teaching, learning, and organizational decision-making. She focuses on data capacity building and on how team structures, such as professional learning communities and research-practice partnerships, enable implementation partners to use evidence effectively. Her research spans education and health contexts and is grounded in equity, stakeholder engagement, and scalable, sustainable improvement.

Working across K-12, postsecondary, and adult education, Dr. Blitz designs, delivers, and evaluates curricula and professional learning in computer science and broader STEM, and leads cross-disciplinary efforts that connect classroom learning to workforce development. She directs cross-sector collaborations that equip teachers and system leaders to plan, implement, and continuously improve programs and policies; builds technology-enabled collaboration and measurement supports for learning networks; and disseminates actionable guidance for practitioners and researchers. Her research has been supported by NSF, NIH, the Department of Education, among others.
