Rutgers faculty and affiliates are cordially invited to the semester-long student research showcase for the graduate course AI/ML and Spatial Data Science for Global Development (Course 16:910:657). This Ph.D.-level course brings together students from social work, public policy, economics, and information science to explore how cutting-edge computational methods can address real-world challenges in global development and social welfare.
Over the course of the semester, student research teams have drawn on novel data sources (e.g., satellite imagery, crowd-sourced maps, social media data) and applied methods (e.g., multimodal data integration, explainable AI, and spatial data science, and ML) to develop original, interdisciplinary research on global development challenges.
