Biography

Dr. Jingjin Yu is an Associate Professor at Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Director of the Algorithmic Robotics and Control Lab. He earned his B.S. from USTC, his M.S. and Ph.D. from UIUC, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MIT CSAIL. Dr. Yu’s research is at the forefront of embodied intelligence, specifically focusing on the intersection of robot learning for manipulation, algorithmic robotics, and multi-agent planning. His work seeks to bridge high-level combinatorial optimization with physical control to enable autonomous systems to excel in complex environments, including warehouse logistics, home automation, and space manipulation. A recipient of the 2019 NSF CAREER Award and an Amazon Research Award, Dr. Yu has published 100+ peer-reviewed articles and serves as an Editor for ICRA and an IEEE RAS Distinguished Lecturer.
