Join us for the second event in the inaugural University Librarian’s Symposium Series. The series is designed to engage the entire Rutgers community on timely topics in higher education, focusing on a different theme for each series. The current theme is Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education.

The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) within higher education has sparked important questions about appropriate use, environmental footprint, and potential influence on problem‑solving and creativity. However, AI is neither new nor a passing trend and has a long history of being used in various programs and applications. What has become an enduring part of the academic landscape requires a proactive and thoughtful exploration of its benefits, balanced with strategies to minimize potential disruptions.

This hybrid event will take place on March 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Teleconference Lecture Hall on the fourth floor of Alexander Library. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Remote participation is also available, and due to space constraints, participants who are unable to attend for the entire day are encouraged to register for remote attendance.

Registration is required.  Click here to register: https://libcal.rutgers.edu/event/16450179
