The Rutgers Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (RAD) Collaboratory

Biography

The broad scope of the laboratory is to understand the hormonal regulation of mammary gland physiology as it relates to normal growth, development and lactation, and how dysregulation of endocrine systems contributes to breast cancer. One area of focus is to determine the effect of alcohol exposure on gene expression profiles in individual cell populations within the mammary tumor using an oncogenic mouse model. Single cell RNA sequencing and computational analysis is conducted in collaboration with the Molecular and Genomics Informatics Core at the New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers Newark to understand how alcohol exposure affects mammary programming to influence oncogenesis and tumor phenotype.
