Description of Training Program:
Four hands-on tutorials will help prepare Rutgers graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and RAD Collaboratory SURF undergraduate students for success in research utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning (DL) tools in science and engineering. As part of the training program, participants will use the NCSA Delta supercomputer for online hands-on exercises that reinforce learning from short, informative lectures. Delta is a dedicated, ACCESS-allocated resource designed by HPE and NCSA, delivering a highly capable GPU-focused compute environment for GPU and CPU workloads.

I. Tuesday, October 6, 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Introduction to Deep Learning
II. Friday, October 9, 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Introduction to PyTorch
III. Tuesday, October 13, 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Distributed Neural Network Training
IV. Friday, October 16, 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Large Language Models and Agentic AI for Science and Engineering
Training will use a NCSA Delta account in order to participate.
