The Rutgers Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (RAD) Collaboratory
An AI and Data Science Hub
The RAD Collaboratory is a New Brunswick Chancellor-reporting Signature Initiative (CSI) that aligns to the Academic Master Plan. This CSI will serve as a hub for data science, artificial intelligence, student programming, and community engagement.
We will partner with AI and data science initiatives across the university.
The RAD Collaboratory will be comprised of different research areas, each led by a faculty area lead.

Artificial Intelligence Grand Challenge
More Information on how to submit an application to become a RAD Collaboratory Research Area that addresses an Artificial Intelligence Grand Challenge will be announced soon.
Two research areas will be selected.
The RAD Collaboratory is more than just a hub; it is a transformative ecosystem designed to break down academic silos and foster collaboration across schools, departments, centers, and institutes. The goal is to create an environment where faculty, students, and community members can come together to address societal grand challenges through responsible AI and data science applications.
