DESCRIPTION:This four-hour virtual crash course is designed to introduce novices (with little or no coding experience) to a pedagogical foundation for coding\, the Google Colab environment\, GitHub\, and the fundamentals of Python scripting. \nCoding exercises will begin with variables\, loops\, and logic and will proceed to plotting and calculations based on linear and nonlinear regression curve fitting. DESCRIPTION:Please use this link to submit abstracts and/or to register. \nThe Rutgers Postdoctoral Association invites the Rutgers community to attend the 2026 Rutgers University Postdoctoral Research Symposium.  \nFriday September 25 from 9:30am-3:45pm in Kessler Teaching Wing of RWJMS Research Tower (675 Hoes Lane West\, Piscataway\, NJ). \nThe event will feature interdisciplinary research presentations\, networking opportunities with Rutgers postdoctoral researchers\, and a keynote address by Dr. Julia Stoyanovich\, Associate Professor of Data Science and Director of Center for Responsible AI\, NYU Tandon School of Engineering. \nDesigned to showcase innovative research\, the symposium aims to promote connections among postdocs\, encourage new collaborations\, and provide a platform for sharing research with a diverse scientific audience. Additional details are available in the flyer below\, and participants are encouraged to register and submit an abstract. \nRegistration is free\, and abstract submissions will be accepted through July 31\, 2026.  \nFaculty members are encouraged to support and motivate their postdoctoral fellows to present their work.
