SUMMARY:Symposium on AI in Research
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the second event in the inaugural University Librarian’s Symposium Series. The series is designed to engage the entire Rutgers community on timely topics in higher education\, focusing on a different theme for each series. The current theme is Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education. \nThe rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) within higher education has sparked important questions about appropriate use\, environmental footprint\, and potential influence on problem‑solving and creativity. However\, AI is neither new nor a passing trend and has a long history of being used in various programs and applications. What has become an enduring part of the academic landscape requires a proactive and thoughtful exploration of its benefits\, balanced with strategies to minimize potential disruptions. \nThis hybrid event will take place on March 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Teleconference Lecture Hall on the fourth floor of Alexander Library. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Remote participation is also available\, and due to space constraints\, participants who are unable to attend for the entire day are encouraged to register for remote attendance. \nRegistration is required.  Click here to register: https://libcal.rutgers.edu/event/16450179

SUMMARY:Advanced Zotero
DESCRIPTION:Attention\, graduate students! If you are already a Zotero user and are looking to take your citation and literature review game to the next level\, this workshop is for you. We will learn how to route PDF attachments to a cloud storage folder and retrieve and organize our PDF annotations using the third-party plugin ZotMoov. ZotMoov allows users to continue using Zotero without paying for storage for PDF attachments (assuming Rutgers-provided cloud storage like Box or ScarletApps). In case a refresher is needed\, our “Introduction to Zotero” materials are available at https://libguides.rutgers.edu/zotero/tutorials. \nInstructor: Francesca Giannetti\, Digital Humanities Librarian \n\nRelated LibGuide: Zotero by Mei Ling Lo \nThis is an online event.
