DESCRIPTION:Date: April 28th\, 2026 \nTiming: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM \nRegistration is not required \nLocation: 390 George St.\, Room 311-C\, New Brunswick\, NJ 08901 \nThe name of the building is “390 Geroge St” and is on Church Street and George Street in New Brunswick\, NJ \nRutgers faculty and affiliates are cordially invited to the semester-long student research showcase for the graduate course AI/ML and Spatial Data Science for Global Development (Course 16:910:657). This Ph.D.-level course brings together students from social work\, public policy\, economics\, and information science to explore how cutting-edge computational methods can address real-world challenges in global development and social welfare. \nOver the course of the semester\, student research teams have drawn on novel data sources (e.g.\, satellite imagery\, crowd-sourced maps\, social media data) and applied methods (e.g.\, multimodal data integration\, explainable AI\, and spatial data science\, and ML) to develop original\, interdisciplinary research on global development challenges.
